About the Trip
This is a trip like no other! Experience the magic of kayaking in Lofoten without the added complexities of an expedition! Stay just a stone's throw from the water, with access to a minibus and trailer for short drives to other parts of the islands ensuring we always get the best weather, conditions and adventures.

Our plan is to have two trips departing each day with our guide team involving you in the planning as much as possible. One more advanced trip and one more relaxed. You can decide what you feel like on any given day! If you'd prefer to take a day off from paddling for a day, we can recommend some cultural experiences or tourist-like things to do and can help with logistics.
Expect varied distances and conditions will vary from 30km days or maybe a day playing in some tide or surf for the advanced trip to leisurely trips experiencing the mountainous landscapes with its abundance of aquatic and land based wildlife. This allows us to explore and enjoy even more parts of Lofoten.

September allows us to be free from the busy summer season, whilst also giving a good chance of seeing the Northern Lights / Aurora Borealis. The weather is often no more chanegable than the UK in September.

Our role is to support you logistically, offer coaching and expert guiding, and using our local knowledge show you the best Lofoten has to offer. Drivers, minibuses and trailers on hand to allow us maximum time on the water and reduce the "faff" factor.

All meals from the time you arrive to the time you depart are provided, with dietary requirements catered for. Fresh wholesome food, plenty of snacks and a menu planned as a group before departure. A hearty breakfast, tea, coffee, fruit and juices gives us a great start to plan our day. A fresh pressed coffee and a packed lunch will keep us going until we finish for the day. Cake and hot drinks, starters and a couple of beers will greet us on our return from paddling every day. An evening meal as a whole group will allow us to really reflect and reminisce on the experiences of the day.

About Lofoten

The Lofoten Islands, in Northern Norway, have been voted by National Geographic as one of the most appealing destinations in the world, and we aim to explore the fantastic area in and around Moskennes. Located just above the Arctic Circle, at the 68th northern parallel, Lofoten basks in the ethereal Midnight Sun during summer and witnesses the magical Northern Lights from September to April. September still has settled weather whilst commonly being much less busy. This combined with a chance of seeing the fantastic display of the Aurora Borealis, is why we have chosen to head there in this month.

This stunning wilderness area offers an unparalled landscape of majestic mountains, deep fjords, squawking seabirds, long, surf-swept beaches and small, interesting fishing villages, steeped in a rich cultural history.

The nutrient-rich waters of the Norwegian Sea surrounding provide nutrient-rich waters around Lofoten; provide a perfect habitat for sea life. We're likely to get a glimpse of a shy seal or otter, and on a calm day even watch the local Orca and other cetaceans as they pass by.

It truly is one of the most majestic places in the world to explore by sea kayak.
