Coastal Sea Kayak Skills Week
Some sea kayaking experience required
Develop the skills, judgement and confidence needed for sea kayak journeys in more exposed coastal environments.
Based in Anglesey, this five-day course is designed for paddlers looking to build on their existing sea kayaking experience and take the next step in their development. Using a variety of coastal environments, we'll develop the practical skills, environmental awareness and decision-making needed for journeys in more dynamic conditions.
Throughout the week, you'll gain experience of planning and undertaking journeys in wind, swell and tidal environments while continuing to develop efficient paddling skills, sound judgement and self-reliance on the water.

Who It's For
This course is ideal for paddlers who already have some sea kayaking experience and are looking to expand their skills and confidence in more exposed coastal environments.

It is particularly suitable for those wishing to progress beyond sheltered water and straightforward coastal journeys, or those looking to work towards the Paddle UK Coastal Sea Kayak Award.
Paddle UK Coastal Sea Kayak Award
For paddlers wishing to gain certification, the course can include assessment for the Paddle UK Coastal Sea Kayak Award, certificated by the British Canoeing Awarding Body.
