A whitewater canoeing adventure with a difference
This is a whitewater adventure with a difference. Rather than staying in one location and paddling the same rivers, we'll road trip through Norway, using water levels, conditions and local knowledge to seek out the best paddling each day.
Your own open canoe can make the journey too, with transport from the UK included. Off the water, we'll stay in a mixture of wild camps, official campsites and simple campsite chalets, making the journey through Norway as much a part of the adventure as the paddling.
Two Norway Whitewater Canoe Trips
Grade 2 Whitewater Canoe Holiday
3–10 July 2027
Our intermediate trip is for canoeists with plenty of recent Grade 2 whitewater experience. You'll need to be confident controlling your canoe, reading the river and making moves including breaking in and out and ferry gliding in good flow.
Grade 3 Whitewater Canoe Holiday
10–17 July 2027
For experienced whitewater canoeists with plenty of recent Grade 3 experience. You'll already be comfortable paddling Grade 3 and making positive decisions and manoeuvres in faster, more demanding flows.
Norway's faster, more powerful glacial rivers mean these trips are designed to build on whitewater skills you already have rather than introduce you to the grade.

Whitewater canoeing in Sjoa & Lillehammer
Sjoa is one of Norway's best-known whitewater destinations, surrounded by mountains and forest in the Gudbrandsdalen valley, with clear water, varied rapids and spectacular scenery.
The wider Lillehammer region adds lakes, forests, mountains and river valleys – and more options for our flexible whitewater journey.
